Hello! I am currently studying photojournalism at the University of Missouri with a minor in sociology and a certificate in sustainability and multicultural studies. I chose to be a photojournalist because it enables me to meet people from all walks of life, and share their stories. Stories and experiences shape who we are as individuals and as a society; journalism urges humanity forward.

I’m currently the Assistant Director of Photography at the Columbia Missourian where I’ve worked as a staff photographer and editor the past two years of my studies. As Assistant Director of Photography, I enjoy working with both photographers and editors on everything from daily news to long-term projects. I also spent a lot of time working with the design desk and planning ahead, making sure we always have an effective lead visual. From both experiences as an editor and photographer, I’ve gotten to cover everything from high school soccer to community homelessness, opening my eyes to worlds I would have never known otherwise.

In 2022, I spent my summer studying abroad in Brussels, where I interned for Revolve Media as a photographer and content producer.

This is the beginning of my quest to bring the world closer together and urge an extra dose of empathy among humanity. I aspire to become an international photojournalist, reporting on climate, culture, and community.
